Blown-In Insulation

What is Blown-In Insulation?

Also referred to as loose-fill insulation, blown-in insulation is a type of insulation that is made of loose fibers and installed with a blowing machine by a trained professional to insure proper densities and R-values.  Unlike other insulations that may leave gaps and cracks, blown-in insulation is able to fill a space completely.  This is especially useful in awkward, small, or hard-to-reach spaces.  It is ideal for attic floors, wall cavities, sloped ceilings, irregularly shaped areas and filling in areas with obstructions.

It reduces air flow out of the home and can significantly lower energy costs. It is one of the cheaper insulation options and will pay for itself over time with its energy savings. It can also be installed quickly and tailored to your building’s needs.

The types of blown-in insulation we offer are fiberglass and cellulose.
